SportPedia: Journal of Sport Science, Health and Physical Education is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing scholarly discourse and scientific exploration across the interrelated spectrum of human movement, physiological optimization, public health, and pedagogical methodology. The journal provides a rigorous academic platform for the dissemination of high-quality original research, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses that bridge the gap between theoretical sports science and its practical application in athletic performance, health promotion, and educational systems. By addressing macro-level issues in kinesiology, physical literacy, and sports medicine, SportPedia aims to enrich global understanding of how structured physical activity serves as a cornerstone for holistic human development and societal well-being.

Scope and Topics

The journal invites multidisciplinary contributions that offer deep empirical and conceptual insights into contemporary challenges and innovations. The scope encompasses, but is not limited to, the following thematic areas:

  • Sport Science & Kinesiology: Exercise physiology, biomechanics, sports nutrition, athletic conditioning, motor learning, and the psychological dimensions of competitive sports performance.

  • Physical Education & Pedagogy: Curriculum design, innovative instructional models, physical literacy, adapted physical activity, and the sociology of sport within educational frameworks.

  • Health Promotion & Sports Medicine: Public health interventions through physical activity, epidemiology of sedentary behavior, sports injury prevention and rehabilitation, and active lifestyle management.

  • Sports Management & Policy: Socio-economic aspects of sports infrastructure, sports governance, community recreation management, and policy development for elite and mass participation sports.

Publication Frequency

SportPedia is published semi-annually (2 issues per year), released systematically in June and December. The journal utilizes a structured release pipeline designed to ensure rapid, high-quality dissemination of verified scientific data to the international community.

Peer Review Process

To maintain the highest thresholds of scientific validity and intellectual integrity, SportPedia enforces a strict Double-blind Peer Review workflow. Every manuscript undergoes a preliminary editorial screening for scope alignment and plagiarism. Qualified papers are subsequently evaluated by at least two independent, international reviewers with specific expertise in the manuscript's domain. The final editorial decision is governed by the objectivity and scholarly rigor of the peer reviews.

Mission Statement: "The mission of SportPedia is to catalyze the evolution of sports science, physical education, and health practices by offering an inclusive, unrestricted knowledge repository. The journal is committed to empowering educators, sports scientists, healthcare professionals, and policymakers with evidence-based insights necessary to optimize human movement, elevate athletic achievement, and foster healthier, more physically active global populations."
